This golden milk recipe is almost vegan, except for the use of honey. Turmeric (specifically the curcumin in turmeric) is said to have a lot of health benefits, including anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This recipe is a great way to get a delicious and healthy dose of turmeric!
The turmeric I used for this recipe is from Diaspora Co. It's single-origin, ethically sourced, and sustainably produced, and it's absolutely delicious. Another can be used in its place, but I highly recommend Diaspora Co's turmeric. This recipe can also be chilled for a really refreshing, tasty iced golden milk.
· makes around 4 servings
14 oz coconut cream
14 oz unsweetened almond milk
1tbsp coconut oil
1-2 tbsp turmeric to taste (I like to use a heavier hand with the turmeric)
2 tbsp honey
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, whisking until fully emulsified.
Keep sauce pan on low heat for around 10 minutes. Don't allow to boil.
